Digital Transformation at Save the Children UK
Kivo were brought in to support the digital transformation at Save the Children UK, transforming the supporter experience through a new user-first experience on Adobe technologies.
As Programme Change Lead, Kelly led the development of the business case, illustrating the full extent of organisational change required, achieving board level approval, and building an internal change force.
Working in a partnership with the Director of Digital and CIO, we went on to grow a hybrid internal and external programme team, and facilitate collaboration across Save the Children US, the Global Adobe teams and our implementation partners to deliver vastly improved technology, including content and analytics.
But we all know that technology is nothing without people. Our team of digital change experts integrated with the Save the Children teams to design and implement a new agile model to drive sustainable change and ongoing optimisation.
We led engagement at board level and worked with senior stakeholders to ensure difficult decisions were made quickly, so that we could deliver the new experience to audiences everywhere, and start to realise the benefits.
The programme was a bumpy ride, but by truly embedding within the organisation we became one seamless team, and together delivered a new highly-skilled digital function, cross-functional governance, a fantastic new website, and the beginnings of devolution of digital production to teams.
